The 11 Items Worth Splurging On

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a fun and safe St Patty’s Day weekend! I wanted to write this post because we all work hard to earn our dollars and overspending on something you’ll only wear once is not an option. The older I get, the more I realize that I’m all about quality over quantity.

No matter what anyone tells you it’s a great feeling when you finally get your hands on a quality handbag or that trench coat you’ve had your eye on for years. Of course everyone’s budget is different but I truly believe you will never regret spending your money on these pieces. Today I’m sharing the eleven items I wou mind splurging on and why they are worth every penny!

Leather Jacket

This is one of my favorite investment pieces- a good quality leather jacket (real or faux) is a must in my closet. You’ll wear it again and again, plus, it instantly adds a cool factor to any look. Perfect for when I travel, while running errands, date nights, and I even like wear it to the gym (wear a hoodie underneath). I love to wear it with a t-shirt, bf jeans, and an slides for a casual/effortless look.

Trench Coat

When I think trench coat, I automatically think BURBERRY! I haven’t clicked “buy” just yet but this classic (maybe one day), but this stylish coat is definitely on my wish list (hint, hint)! Not only is a trench coat great for rainy days, it’s the perfect transition piece, and it’ll never go out of style.

Little Black Dress

I’ve said this before and I’m going to say it again. Everyone, I mean everyone needs a little black dress! It’s one of the most versatile pieces in your closet that can be dressed up or down; it’s timeless and slimming. I don’t know what I would do without my LBD!

Nude or Black Pumps

We all need a killer pair of pumps! That pair that you put on and you instantly transform into a Victoria’s Secret angel strutting down the runway (I wish!). I invested in a nude, Christian Louboutin pump, and they were 100% worth the investment. They are sexy, will take you from the office to bar, and go with pretty much everything in your closet.

White Button Down

There are endless ways to style this piece. I finally decided to spend a little more money and found the perfect white button down at Madewell, I love to wear it with jeans and wedges to lunch or denim shorts and slides to run errands in the summer. You can tots wear it to the office with a black blazer and slacks.

Black Blazer

Invest in a one with an impeccable fit, and good quality. This piece can instantly elevate any t-shirt and denim look. You can wear it with a silk camisole, denim, and nude pumps for a date night.

This is one item you will get the most use out of. Consider your body shape when trying on jeans, and the #1 rule is that they should make you feel comfortable and confident.

A great way to dress up ANY outfit!

Black Flats / Loafers

They’re equal parts chic and comfortable.

Structured Handbag

Every woman needs a classic, well-made bag that they absolutely LOVE! Most women carry a bag everyday so why not invest in a simple, classic bag will never go out of style and will last you for many years. I’m not saying to go out and buy a two thousand dollar bag, but invest in one that will work for your lifestyle and fits your budget.

Pearl Earrings

A nice pair of pearl earrings are feminine, classic, and timeless. I LOVE my David Yurman pearl earrings so much, they complement any outfit and I plan on passing them down to my daughter one day.

These items are timeless and they will leave you satisfied for years to come!
