Spring cleaning has officially started in my closet! I’ve been adding small things here and there that I love or “need” to add to my closet. I try to go with items that work for more than one season. I tend to gravitate toward neutral colors, pastels, floral prints, and pops of colors with my accessories. This year I gave myself a clothing allowance for each season to avoid picking up unnecessary extras. If you don’t have a huge clothing budget, here are some tips to help get your wardrobe ready for Spring.
A perfect piece would be a trench coat, denim jacket, or suede moto jacket. These items are timeless, stylish, and would go with at least three to five items I already own. They are perfect for mixing and matching and can be dressed up or down.
There’s something so chic about a trench during spring, it’s my number 1 transition coat from winter to spring. I love the color and length of this trench coat that I recently purchased and I know I’ll wear it year after year.
As we all know, no wardrobe is complete without the perfect pair of jeans. It’s the ultimate update and a great transition piece regardless of the season. Denim can be dressed up or down, and look more polished or casual depending on what other items you pair it with. I’ve recently added white skinny jeans, high-waisted denim (love a straight leg), and a casual pair of jean shorts. I love high-waisted jeans because they always look good with crop tops and statement tees.
Change out your shoes and bags in your wardrobe. Invest in a few well-made shoes (sandals, gym shoes, heels) and cross-body. Cross-body bags are one of my favorite styles because you can go hands-free and work for day or night. Add a pop of color with a statement earring or necklace. You’ll be seeing neon, clear straps, and animal print everywhere this season.
What are you ladies adding to your closet this spring?!
Thanks for stopping by! XO,B!
