Hey guys!!! Happy New Year, I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends welcoming a new decade! I want to start by thanking all the nurses, doctors, police officers, firefighters, and everyone else who sacrificed spending time with their loved ones.
There are some new friends that recently started following me on IG or my blog. So, I thought I’d share why started blogging and how it’s changed my life.
Why I Started
When I first started this journey four years ago I wanted to share my love for fashion, beauty, and travel with others. Working in the MICU (medical intensive care unit) you deal with stressful situation and frequent exposure to death and dying.
For me blogging became a creative outlet and a way to de-stress after a tough week at work. Of course a part of me was scared of what people would think or say. I’m so happy I didn’t let my fear stop me from publishing my first post. As an avid traveler, blogging pushes me to discover new places, write about the ones I already love, and see things through a completely different lens.
What Keeps Me Going
Nothing means more to me than the friendships that have come from blogging and the impact I’ve made on my reader’s. Every once in a while I’ll receive an email from someone thanking me for writing a particular blog post or telling me they tried something new because of my post. That just means the world to me! You guys motivate me to do better and be better and try new things.
I love that my blog is a story of my life. Documenting my travels around the world, experiences, my relationships, and one day I’ll be able to look back and cherish these moments! Blogging has also given me so much confidence in many ways. It taught me to worry less of what people think and focus more on what I love. People will talk regardless; if you are happy and investing time on something you love what they say doesn’t matter. That there is enough room for all of us to succeed and there’s no need to bring anyone down.
Just Do It!
If you’ve been thinking of trying something new, DO IT. If there is something you’ve had on hold, START NOW. After all, it’s a new decade right?!
Thanks for stopping by! Xo, B!
