Blankets, capes, cloaks, ponchos, overcoat or whatever else you want to name them are back in a big way this season. Yes, the poncho is the “it” sweater of the season, it provides perfect layering potential, and it’s a mix between cozy and chic. It’s the ideal lightweight piece for these past few days of mild fall weather that we have been enjoying in Chicago. I know when you first see them on the hanger they look slouchy and bulky, or you ask how can I wear this “thing”? This piece can make an outfit, and it has the potential to be quite effortless and feminine by pairing it with jeans, booties, and a long sleeve turtleneck. The key is to keep the rest of your outfit simple, let the rich colors and interesting graphic designs steal the show strolling down the beautiful streets of Chicago! I am sharing with you guys my top 5; you can find the links down below.

How are you guys wearing those capes/ponchos?
