Quick and Easy Tips to Master the Layering Trend

Happy Monday Guys! I can’t believe it’s already November, time flies when you are having fun! Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here in Chicago, the perfect excuse for layering, not only did it keep me warm, it also makes your outfit interesting and allows you to keep those coats locked away in your closet a little longer. When layering is done right it will compliment your curves and you won’t have to worry about looking bulky or bigger than you are.

Quick Tips:

  1. Keep the under-layers lightweight and more fitted, this will make you look slim and will allow you to add more layers without looking heavy.
  2. Incorporate a mix of materials, denim, fur, cashmere etc
  3. Stick with solids and add color with your cardigan, vest, flannel
  4. Balance volumes with slim cuts, if your top is loose or your vest is puffy pair it with fitted jeans or leggings.

I finished off my look with a pair of flat over the knee boots, a structured black handbag, and lots of arm candy!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
