Get The Perfect Red Lip In 4 Easy Steps

Hey Guys! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mother’s Day! I don’t know were I would be without my mother; she is my heart and my best friend. I love to sit with my mom and listen while she shares stories of my siblings and I when we were kids.

Whenever I wear red lipstick my mom always reminds me that my obsession started at 6-years of age. I remember asking my mom often if she could take me to the store to buy red lipstick, I wanted to wear it so badly. She would always say, “That is not for little girls that is for moms.” I would reply, “When I am taller and bigger I am going wear red lipstick everyday.” No I don’t wear it everyday, but you can always find a tube of red lipstick in my purse. Red lipstick is classic, elegant, and versatile. All you need is a little pop of red on your lips to dress up any outfit.

Here are my tips for perfect Red Lips:

  1. Exfoliate & Moisturize– this will keep your lips look smooth.
  2. Prep mouth with primer & lip liner– use a shade that’s close to your natural lip color if you don’t have a red lip liner in your makeup bag
  3. Blot after you apply– this will help prevent bleeding, you can always reapply
  4. Avoid getting lipstick on your teeth– put your finger in your mouth, purse your lips around it, then pull it out to remove excess color.

What shade of lipstick is always in your purse?
