Keep A Gym Bag In Your Car To Help You Not Skip Your Workout

 

 

Let’s face it- finding motivation to workout can be a struggle at times. When I first started working out, I was in nursing school, working full-time, and I was going through a breakup. I was devastated that my relationship had ended and I was looking for an outlet to distract myself that didn’t involve drinking or a nightclub. I started going to the gym four to five times a week with my friend Dragana. I would walk into class feeling unhappy and overwhelmed with emotions as to why my relationship had ended but always walked out feeling amazing and unstoppable. After a while exercising became a part of my life; it helped boost my mood and confidence, stay motivated, and forget about what I was going through.

Fitting in a workout to an already busy schedule can be tough- between family, a long commute, work, and trying to have a social life. To stay motivated and not waste time going home, changing, and driving back to the gym I would pack a gym bag and leave it in my car. I would drive directly to the gym after work, school, or I took a class during my lunch hour. I would pack a sandwich or salad if I knew I was going to take a class and eat at my desk while I worked. It was no longer about a number but more about feeling good and living and healthy lifestyle. What are you waiting for? Clothes

  • Leggings: Invest in a pair you feel comfortable in. There’s nothing worse than having to constantly lift up your leggings because they are sliding off.
  • Workout tank
  • Sports bra
  • Gym shoes

 

Hygiene

  • Dry shampoo: if you can’t wash your hair because you took a class during your lunch.
  • Deodorant
  • Tampons

 

Beauty bag

  • Face wash/Face Wipes– Take your makeup off before class.
  • Moisturizer
  • Tinted moisturizer
  • Blush & Bronzer

 

Snack

  • Protein bar- Right now I am in to RxBar Protein Bars
  • Almonds
  • Protein powder

 

Headphones:

I personally can’t workout without headphones. Sometimes I need Drizzy or a killer playlist to get me through that workout!
