Hey guys! It’s finally starting to feel like fall in Chicago and I’m loving it! I’m excited for all the fall activities that come with this time of year! A few weeks back I asked my InstaFam if they thought leggings could be treated like pants. Although many of you said leggings aren’t pants, I’m team legging 100% and here’s why. They are a go-to wardrobe staple, from casual day of lounging to dressy for date night with that special someone. Not only are they comfortable, they are versatile, and a great alternative to sweats. I love leggings and I’m here to help you style them. If you’re still not convinced keep scrolling to see four different looks that I’ve put together.
You can totally pull off leggings at the office- unless your workplace is super conservative. Many women stay away from this cozy staple but can easily be paired with dresses, cardigans, blazers, or a pattern blouse. This blouse has a subtle print, isn’t fitted, and it covered my behind (make sure the booty is covered). I finished off the look with a long sleeveless vest to keep things covered. I wanted to wear heels to dress it up a bit but flats or a boots are also appropriate.
I wore my leggings with an oversized striped tunic, you guys know how much I love my stripes. I added a military jacket and riding boots because I feel like this outfit combo is easy and effortless. Of course this would also look great with skinny jeans but leggings are way more comfortable and aren’t bulky.
You can’t go wrong with leggings and converse (or the sneaker of your choice)! I love this combo, on my days off or while running errands you’ll most likely find me in black leggings, a t-shirt and a jacket or cardigan. This would also be a great travel outfit, especially when going through TSA.
I love this look because it’s classy, chic, and comfortable. Simply layer your quilted vest with a white button up shirt underneath. Add a scarf for some texture and an extra layer to help you stay warm. OTK boots are a fall must have and give this look a clean and sleek finish.
TIP: When styling your leggings make sure they are opaque (no one wants to see your underwear), play with layering, and make sure your top covers your derriere.
How do you style your leggings? What would you guys like to see on the blog?
Thanks for stopping by! Xo, B!
