Color blocking in ChinatownÂ
Chicago is experiencing a cold spring right now and I can't wait for summertime in this beautiful city! There are so many great places to check out and Chinatown is definitely on the list, full of amazing restaurants, bold colors and unique individuals. I wanted to wear a fitted skirt but to keep it daytime appropriate I added black tights and knee high flat boots. I layered a chunky knit sweater (link for sweater down below), my favorite faux fur vest, and this blue Forever 21 coat (it was a bit chilly). I finished off my outfit with a Rebecca Minkoff ruby red purse that I got on sale many years ago! This is what the fashion websites would call color blocking, it's a chic way to coordinate the colors of your outfit. The black and gray were my neutral pieces and the two colors I picked were red and blue. If you feel like adding more colors go for it but try to stay away from prints.
