Fitness Friday- 5 Simple Tips To Help You Crush Your New Year's Fitness Resolution!

Who else is excited that it’s Friday?! I will be spending some time with my nephew this weekend and I can’t wait to hang out with my favorite five-year old! I’ll just have to try to stay away from all the snacks at the movies. It’s easy to come up with New Year resolutions, but many times we haven’t been able to see them through. You are passed the one-month mark, and that drive you had starting January 1st is slowly drifting away. Staying on track with fitness goals can be challenging when you add children, work, school, life, boyfriends, dogs, and everything else that comes with adulting (it’s a trap). Ladies don’t lose sight of why you decided to make this change- whether it’s weight loss, daily activity, to improve your mood, or increase energy. Keep scrolling to find  my 5 tips to get you closer to that goal!

Leave Your Gym Bag In The Car- I always make sure to bring my gym bag with me on days when I work or have to run errands in the morning. That way, everything I need is with me, I’m not rushing back home to change, and you are more likely to hit up that class. Next week I’ll be sharing the 7 items you can always find in my gym bag!

Buy Cute Workout Clothes- I don’t know about you but whenever I purchase workout clothes or a new pair of gym shoes it gets me pumped to hit the gym!

Plan Ahead- Planning is a great way to keep you motivated and on track with your goals. Write it in your weekly planner or add it to your Calendar on your phone, that way you can remember and be prepared for that day. For instance, I like to freeze the ingredients together in ziplock bags, making it easier to throw them in my Ninja Bullet and head out the door.

Find A Workout You Enjoy- Find a class or activity you enjoy, just because it’s trendy or your friends are doing it doesn’t mean it’s something you will enjoy. You are much more likely to reach your goals and stick to it if you look forward to taking a class.

Be Patient & Realistic- Set realistic goals and take gradual steps to get there. For example, start off by working out 3 days a week, for 45 minutes to an hour, and not eating after 8 pm. As you start to become more fit, you will be able to increase the days you go to the gym. Take pictures of your progress every two weeks, to keep yourself motivated and track your improvement.

I would love to hear what do you ladies do to make sure you don't miss your workout?  Xo, B!
