I recently came back from a trip to Mexico City and I fell in love! The people are warm and hospitable, the city is full of history, amazing architecture, it’s second only to Paris in terms of number of museums within the city, and the local cuisine was delicious!

We stayed in the Condesa neighborhood (great locations) and I’m obsessed with the Spanish style homes. I loved the curved roof tile, courtyard entrances, arched doorways, small balconies, and all the greenery. Walking through the city was incredible, it felt like each building had a story to tell.

The best thing about traveling to Mexico city is that it’s a cheap travel destination. Your dollar will go a long way, you’re able to wine and dine in top restaurants, get around in uber, and stay in a beautiful air bnb or hotel without breaking the bank. If you are heading to Mexico City or just added it to your bucket list make sure to check out these delicious restaurants/street vendors :

Breakfast/Brunch:

eNHORAbUENa- Super cute hipster breakfast spot with a good mix of locals and visitors! They have a great selection of fresh juices, coffee, food, and pastries. I loved the Chilaquilles and Matcha Latte!Lardo- It’s very airy and bright with plenty of seating at the bar or tables. The food and ambiance is amazing, the baked goods were delicious, and the service was great.Marcelino- the restaurant is so cozy and serves great breakfast and coffee. If you’re lucky you’ll get serenaded while you enjoy your breakfast.

Taquerias (Tacos)

El Huequito- amazing tacos and it’s open late.Taqueria Los Cocuyos- hands down the best tacos I’ve had in a very long time! Everything about these tacos was perfect!

La Terraza- The view over the Zocalo is incredible. Make sure to try a Margarita and their guac and chips.Mercado Roma- You have to check out this spot. It’s a public market where you can find a variety of cuisines under one roof. You can enjoy a drink (try the sangria), eat a churro from El Moro, or pick up one of their gluten-free baked goods.Guzina Oaxaca- One of my favorite meals. The cuisine is based on traditional Oaxaca regional cooking. The salsa is made at the table to your liking and I recommend you try the duck enchiladas with mole sauce.
