Looking for a venue is fun but also can be a very overwhelming process! After all, the venue is usually the first major decision you need to make. Plus, it sets the tone for your wedding. I would say it’s important to sit down and figure out your budget and what is most important for the both of you. After looking at a few venues we quickly realized we really wanted a downtown wedding. We wanted a space that felt intimate but didn’t feel too small. Also, we wanted an all-inclusive venue to eliminate some of the stress of having to deal with different vendors. 

Things to keep in mind

1. Budget- do you want an all-inclusive vendor? Do you have to spend a lot on a blank space? Is it naturally beautiful and won’t require a lot of decorations.

2. Catering- do they have an in-house catering team? Can you have your own catering team?

3. Space- is it big enough for your guest? Does the place have separate spaces for cocktail hour and reception? Do you want to deal with a flip?

4. Vibe- what is your vision? Elegant & classy? Boho & Chic? Rustic? Keep this in mind when choosing your venue.

You will know when you have found the one because you’ll walk in and see yourself in the venue. I fell in love with it based on the pictures. When we toured it I knew immediately that this was it! 

Galleria Marchetti 

As soon as I walked into the pavilion I knew this was it! The gorgeous chandeliers, the natural lighting, and the beautiful garden courtyard connected to the pavilion. I loved the beautiful ivy wall and all the greenery. It’s like a secret garden tucked away in the city. Our guest would enjoy cocktail hour here or the amazing space by the fire pits. The venue isn’t too far from where Alex and I went on our first date and the area that we love to explore together. 

I love that Galleria Marchetti offered separate spaces for cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception. In case the weather doesn’t cooperate they have a back up plan for cocktail hour. It’s in a great location and super convenient for us and our guest. What I really loved about GM is that they offer a variety of enhancements to help personalize your wedding. Such as a signature cocktail, action station, late night bites, sweets table, etc at no additional cost if you choose their gold or platinum package. We look forward to working with them to bring our vision to life!
