Fitness Friday- 3 Perfect Post-Workout Smoothies
I know I'm not the only one who walks out of the gym starving and is tempted to go through a fast food drive-thru.STOP, don't do it! You just killed it in class and now it’s time to refuel because what you eat after your workout makes a difference on how quickly you will see those results. I've been told to eat within 30 minutes after your workout so your body doesn’t start to burn muscles.A smoothie is quick and easy to make, giving your body what it needs after your workout. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that these three smoothies taste just like dessert! Avo-Banana Smoothie
- 1- Frozen Banana
- 1 cup of Almond Milk (milk of choice)
- 1/2 avocado, mashed
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 cup of non-fat yogurt
- Dash of salt
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
- 1 scoop of Whey Protein (Optional)
This smoothie is delicious and provides your body with the nutrition it needs right after your workout. Strawberry Banana Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
- 1 cup of almond milk (milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup of low-fat yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
- 1 scoop of Whey Protein (optional)
This taste just like ice cream! Instead of adding ice I freeze my fruit, it's soft, creamy, and cold. Paradise Protein Smoothie
- 1 cup of Almond Milk (Milk of Choice)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup baby spinach
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1 scoop of Whey Protein (optional)
