Perfect Packing List To Keep Warm When Visiting Chicago During Winter.
Hey Guys! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend and a great start to your week! It’s so freaken cold out there, I seriously will never get used to the winters in Chicago! Until I hit the jackpot or relocate to sunny California I will have to learn how to brave the cold. Like most of us, I don’t have the luxury of hibernating in my house until winter is over. Through the years I’ve managed to stay warm and still look put together without looking bulky by sticking to these winter staples.Beanie- my beanie is my heads bestie! Not only do they help with bad hair days but the do an amazing job at keeping my head warm!Statement scarf- Add a little interest to a black coat by adding a chunky scarf or one with a fun print. They are always my favorite item to add. I scored this reversible scarf at the Boss Babe Popup Shop inside Block 37 by Alice & Wonder.Turtlenecks- Yes ladies, a basic we should all have in our closet and it’s the perfect layering piece. This top can be layered under sweaters, dresses, or a button up. Thick socks- your feet will get cold after walking through snow and single digit temps. Pea coat- warm, timeless, and come in a variety of colors. Make sure to pick one that complements your height and fits well.Gloves- Your hands will thank you.Boots- combat boots, snow boots, over the knee boots. Whatever you decide make sure they are comfortable, warm, and will keep the water/snow out. Layer, layer, and layer some more! I am the layering queen; find creative ways to layer. Pack a pair of tights or leggings to wear under your jeans. Don't forget your long sleeve shirt or thermal, perfect to keep you warm under your chunky sweater or cardigan. If you are petite cinch your waist with a belt to help accentuate your waist and not get lost in all that fabric.I hope this helped! Thanks for stopping by and stay warm!Xo, B!
