Hey guys! I'm excited to welcome you guys to the beginning of what I’ll be calling my Chicago Favorites! If you didn’t know this about me already I'm a huge foodie. I LOVE to venture out to different neighborhoods in Chicago and discover new restaurants, ice cream shops,cute boutiques, bars, cafés, and of course donut shops. Another fun fact about me, I have a huge sweet tooth and sometimes I wake up thinking about sugar (don’t judge me). I try to eat healthy 80% of the time but every now and then you have to indulge. After all, we all deserve a cupcake or a donut once in a while, right? If you are ever in Chicago and need some help finding the best donut shop keep reading to find out where to go!

Donut Vault

One of my absolute favorite donut shops in Chicago is Donut Vault. Get there early because most likely there will be a line and they sell donuts until they sell out each day! Their vanilla glazed donut is one of my favorites but it’s ginormous, I suggest you share with someone else, or not 😉. Plus, it’ll give you an excuse to try their buttermilk old fashion or gingerbread stack.

Stan’s Donuts

Stan’s donut has endless donut options available and choosing just one will be difficult. Whenever I pay Stan’s a visit I leave with their Nutella pocket! O.M.G. this donut is insanely delicious and I’m a sucker for anything Nutella. If you are into old fashion type donuts they also offer glazed, chocolate cake, vanilla sprinkled glazed, and the list goes on!

Firecakes

Four words, DONUT ICE CREAM SANDWICH! I mean, who doesn’t love a glazed donut, stuffed with vanilla bean ice cream, and drizzled with chocolate sauce?! Are you drooling already?? My go-to donut shop in the summer because of this delicious sandwich but they also offer other donuts.

Do-Rite Donuts

The donuts here are incredible! Get there early, they sell out of their popular options quickly. They also have vegan option and a special donut for everyday of the week. Try their buttermilk old fashion or their vanilla bean glazed cinnamon crunch (my favorite).
