Travel Diary - NICE to meet You
Hey guys! Who is ready for the weekend?! Earlier this week I blogged about our trip to Paris and today I’m recapping our short but much needed stay in Nice, France. Nice was the perfect ending to our trip after all the walking, sight seeing, and long lines in Paris. One short six-hour train ride from Paris and you’ve arrived to this picturesque and laidback town located in the French Riviera.
A few days relaxing on the beach was the perfect remedy to a hectic few days in Paris. I fell in love with the crystal blue seas, their fresh seafood (Amazeballs), laidback vibes, and the gorgeous weather. Take in all its beauty strolling down the Promenade des Anglais that stretches for 7 kilometers. You’ll find tourist and locals’ rollerblading, bike riding, or running while taking in the stunning view.
For 25 Euros you can rent two chairs and an umbrella on a private beach. You also have the option to bring a your own beach towel and lay out at a public beach (keep your belongings close by). We went with a private beach because when I’m on vacation I want to be comfortable, feel safe, and just relax. We spent the day at Ruhl Plage, one of the most famous beaches in Nice. It’s located directly in front of Le Meridien Hotel; here we had the option to eat in the restaurant attached to the private beach or waiters will bring food and chilled drinks to your private lounger. Make sure to try their delicious fruit plate 🙌🏼!
If you want to visit Monaco it’s 30 minutes away by train. We spent the day lounging, tanning, and eating at Miami Plague, I could seriously get used to that life. If gambling is your thing, make a stop at the world famous Casino de Monte-Carlo or get your shopping on at one of the most exclusive shopping locations in the world.
I wish I had more time to explore this beautiful town but it gives me an excuse to return in the near future.
What is the number one place on your bucket list that you want to visit??
Thanks for stopping by. I love you guys!
