The Perfect Frosé Recipe + 6 Graphic Tees You Need This Summer
Frosé aka the drink of the summer is the grown-up version of the slushie! I have to thank my friend Kat for introducing me to that frozen deliciousness two years ago. It’s basically frozen rosé wine or a wine slushie. This is my drink of choice when day drinking on a hot summer day or at brunch with the girls. If you are ever in Chicago make sure to stop by Publican Quality Meats, Cindy’s, or The Hampton Social and try their Frosé. The best part is that it’s SO easy to make at home and the perfect way to beat the heat.
If you want to try making this at home and surprise your guest at your next BBQ or fourth of July party keep scrolling down to find a simple and delicious recipe.
Frozen Rosé aka Frosé
Serves: 4 cocktails
Gather:
1 750 ml bottle rosé (choose dry rosé that looks darker than the others)
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
8 ounces strawberries, hulled, quartered
2½ ounces fresh lemon juice
1 cup ice
Make:
Pour the wine into a large (13 x 9 or larger) sheet pan (Make sure the pan has lips so the wine stays in it ). Freeze for at least 6 hours.
Bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, reduce the heat to low, and stir until all of the sugar is dissolved. This is your simple syrup.
Add the strawberries to the water/sugar, and give it a solid stir. Let that mixture sit for around 30 minutes to infuse the simple syrup with the flavor of the strawberries.
Strain the strawberry syrup through a sieve, but don't mash the strawberries through. Chill the syrup for 30 minutes.
Finally, add 3 ounces of strawberry syrup, 2½ ounces lemon juice, 1 cup of ice, and the frozen wine to a blender and blend until smooth.
Let the Forsé flow!!
Btw, how cute is this graphic tank I’m wearing from Target?! I love a good graphic tee and of course I couldn’t leave the store without it! Graphic tees can be perfectly paired with everything from straight leg jeans and flat sandals to a denim skirt with booties. I found so many fun graphic tees under $50 that you need in your closet and I just had to share.
I can’t wait for all the bbq’s, street festivals, concerts, and enjoying this delicious treat. Do you ladies have any recipes that you can share??
